Millennium Elephant Foundation

Millennium Elephant Foundation

Established in 1999 to look after old and disabled elephants, the foundation’s center has just eight elephants, one of which was born here while the other seven are retired working animals. The foundation also runs a mobile veterinary unit, which provides medical services to domesticated and wild elephants across the country.

The center offers elephant rides- the fee depends on the duration of the ride. For an additional charge, it is also possible to bathe and feed the elephants as well as tour the pachyderm paper factory, which produces paper from elephant dung. A small museum on site has informative displays on the elephants.
